Cave of Winds (Pestera Vantului) - Padurea Craiului Mountains (24 photos)
The Cave of Winds is located in the Padurea Craiului Mountains, not far from Frantura meadow, near Suncuius, on the left geographical side of the Crisul Repede River. The Cave of Winds was discovered in 1957 by Béla Bagaméri and is currently (as of 2003) the longest cave system known in Romania as well as in the Carpathian Basin.
Stalactite Cave - Round Chair Hill, Borsec, Giurgeu Mountains (24 photos)
The Stalactite Cave on the Round Chair Hill is the longest cave formed in travertine in the country. Its formation was mainly influenced by an open system of diaclases, which fragmented the travertine, with the contribution of infiltrated rainwater being essential in the transport and dissolution of limestone.
Thieves' Cave - Persani Mountains (20 photos)
The Thieves' Cave at Apata is located in the valley of the Tepeu creek, renowned for its outcrop of red clayey limestone, which is very rich in ammonites. A tributary of the stream is formed by the waters of a spring fed by the watercourse coming from the cave's gallery.
Women's Cave (Pestera Muierii) - Parang Mountains (11 photos)
The Cave of Women (Pestera Muierii, Pestera Muierilor) is located at the southern foot of the Parang Mountains, in the area of Baia de Fier in Gorj County. There are several climbing routes established on the rocks above the cave and on the other side of the road.
Bolii Cave - Banita (20 photos)
The main cave passage is approximately 460 m long, with an entrance portal that is 10 m high and 20 m wide at its base. In the 1960s, bridges were built over the underground stream flowing through the cave.

Devetashka cave - DevetakiThe Devetashka Cave is located in Bulgaria, near the village of Devetaki. After the entrance portal, which measures 30 m by 35 m, there is a vast open chamber that is 110 meters wide and 359 meters long.

Muierii Cave - Baia de FierWe visited the Baia de Fier area, and climbed on the rock that also conceals the Women's Cave (Pestera Muierilor). Between two via ferrata routes, we also participated in one of the guided cave tours, which depart every hour.
Vulva cave - Rhodope MountainsThe Vulva Cave (Peshtera Utroba) is situated near the village of Nenkovo and the city of Kardzhali, in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria. It derives its name from the shape of its entrance, which resembles a vulva.
God's bridge (Bozhite mostove, Bozhi Most) - VratsaAnyone who has been to Bulgaria may be familiar with the Prohodna Cave, affectionately known as the Eyes of God; the Devetashka Cave, illuminated by seven windows in its ceiling; and perhaps they have also seen the Wonderful Bridges in the Rhodope Mountains. But there is another spectacular natural stone bridge in this country, known as the Bridge of God.
Prohodna cave (The Eyes of God) - KarlukovoThe cave nicknamed The Eyes of God is located in Bulgaria, in the Iskar Gorge, on one of the largest karst areas in Bulgaria, 2 km from the town of Karlukovo. It is essentially a 262-meter-long natural stone bridge, with a large (45 m high) and a small (35 m high) entrance.
