Big Via ferrata Rasnoavei Gorges - video
The most dangerous Eastern European iron path, and also one of the most beautiful via ferrata routes in Romania, is in the Rasnoavei Gorges, Postavaru Mountains.
The route is 450 m long, with a level difference of 220 m. Most of the climbing is done vertically, on steep rock walls. In the section where a pulley is mounted, the first climber in the group climbs without being secured. :(
Another interesting element of the route is the Pendulum, which I pulled to myself using a selfie stick. Who would have thought that a selfie stick could be a useful tool? :-) With the Pendulum, you can swing across the horizontal section where (at first glance) there seems to be no safety cable. Later, I noticed that there is actually a safety cable under our feet.
This via ferrata route requires payment. It is recommended only for experienced climbers, or under the guidance of the via ferrata operators.

Perhaps the most interesting via ferrata among the routes in the Baia de Fier area is the Womens Spiral. After completing it, I can say that it is the second most thrilling via ferrata in Romania, following the Big Via Ferrata at Rasnov.
