Sheepdogs - Govora sheepfold - Retezat mountains - video
On the second day of my weekend Retezat hike, I visited a sheepfold on the Lancita Ridge. To my great disappointment, they didn't make cheese or curd here. The owners sell the more special types of sheep and rams in the autumn.
It was an experience to get a glimpse into the life of the shepherds, and make friends with the sheepdogs that usually cause so much trouble.
