Hias Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein - videoPlay
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.

I didn't like, that the safety cable was used to drill through the middle of the trunks of pine trees. Unfortunately, I have seen the same thing in Austria, in several places.

The Hias via ferrata is not too long, mostly vertical, with a height difference of 130 m, and can be accomplished in about 1 hour. Fortunately, it can be combined with the Rosina via ferrata on the other side of the stream, and the Siega route above the Silberkarklamm Hut, so one can spend a whole day here.

Siega Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 0.9 km away
The Siega Klettersteig, categorized as a C/D level of difficulty, is perhaps the least interesting of the three via ferratas in the Silberkarklamm gorge. This doesn't mean that it's not good, just that the other two are even better. :-)

Schulter Anstieg klettersteig - Hoher Dachstein, Austria 9 km away
Two iron paths lead to the top of the Hoher Dachstein. The Randkluft is shorter, but can only be reached through a glacier with cracks. It is dangerous to reach the starting point, that's probably why it was closed now.
