Pricske peak - Giurgeu Mountains - video
If we want to reach Pricske (Prisca) peak, which rises above Gheorgheni and Lazarea, we start from the valley of the Güdüc (Ghidut) stream. Our path leads us past the ruins of a building known as the White House.
We are close to Bodo's meadow, where we reach the red dot hiking trail. Finally, the red cross trail takes us up to the 1544-meter high peak of Pricske. This route might be the quickest way to reach the summit, and it is likely that we won't encounter any shepherd dogs this way.
The red dot hiking trail starting from Lazarea passes by several sheepfolds, and is about twice as long. Although there is a sheepfold marked on the map at the intersection of the red dot and red cross trails, during this hike we only saw the remainder of a building's roof lying on the ground.

While the first time I climbed this via ferrata in the morning, now I climbed it in the light of the setting sun. The red-dressed rocks created a special atmosphere, and I could admire the sunset from the top of the climbing route. Although I prefer the sunrise more, because it lasts longer. :-)
