Rosina Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein - videoPlay
The Rosina Klettersteig is the most difficult via ferrata in the Silberkar gorge, has a D difficulty rating, and it is a vertical masterpiece. After a short suspension bridge above the stream, it leads up the rock wall next to the gorge waterfall, all the way vertically.

There are no horizontal sections or resting places, so it really puts your arms and upper body to the test.

The 140-meter elevation difference can be completed in 45 minutes. It is exposed the whole way, but maybe that's what makes it interesting. The view from here to the gorge and the cirque (amphitheatre-like valley formed by glacial erosion) above is amazing. After a day of climbing here, it was the icing on the cake for me.

Hias Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 0.1 km away
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.

The Siega Klettersteig, categorized as a C/D level of difficulty, is perhaps the least interesting of the three via ferratas in the Silberkarklamm gorge. This doesn't mean that it's not good, just that the other two are even better. :-)

Schulter Anstieg klettersteig - Hoher Dachstein, Austria 8.92 km away
Two iron paths lead to the top of the Hoher Dachstein. The Randkluft is shorter, but can only be reached through a glacier with cracks. It is dangerous to reach the starting point, that's probably why it was closed now.
