Wild Ferenc memorial path - Suhardul Mic 0.11 km away
In recent days, this news has been everywhere: the via ferrata route built on the southwest wall of Suhardul Mic (Little Suhard) has finally been completed and inaugurated. The new route has been named after Ferenc Wild, in memory of the former mountain rescuer, sports writer, and one of the founders of the mountain rescue association in Gheorgheni.
Wild Ferenc iron path - Suhardul Mic 0.12 km away
While I climbed the new iron path mostly in the dark for the first time, this time I managed to explore it during the day. But I still missed the sunset by a few minutes.
Waterfalls of Lapos creek - Bicaz Gorges 2.06 km away
One of the lesser-known attractions of the Bicaz Gorges is the series of waterfalls along Lapos Creek. This creek flows between Cupas Stone and Bardos Stone before eventually merging with Bicaz Creek, forming spectacular waterfalls beneath the Altar Stone.
Poienii Rock, north-eastern lookout point - Bicaz Gorges 2.66 km away
From the viewpoint at the top of the northeastern wall of Poienii Rock in the Bicaz Gorges, we can look down 300 meters to the mouth of the Bicajel stream. The Bridge of the Hungarians is hidden among pine trees. The road winds through Hell's Mouth, between Bardos Mountain and Surducul Stone.

The official website of the Sugau Gorges published information about a new via ferrata climbing route named Astragalus. Sugau Gorges - Munticelu is a nature conservation area part of Natura 2000 located in Neamt County, which borders Harghita County.

Big Via ferrata Rasnoavei Gorges 141.04 km away
The most dangerous Eastern European iron path, and also one of the most beautiful via ferrata routes in Romania, is in the Rasnoavei Gorges, Postavaru Mountains.
Rieseneishöhle Dachstein Salzkammergut, Austria 915.47 km away
The second cave open to the public, of Schönbergalm above Obertraun am Hallstättersee, is the Ice Cave (Rieseneishöhle). For me, it was more spectacular than the Mammoth Cave.
Ski resort Poiana Brasov Postavarul Mountains 137.75 km away
Shining sun and an Austria-feeling on the impeccable slopes of the ski paradise Poiana Brasov above Brasov. Sunbathing, coffee and refreshing drinks on the terrace of Julius Römer chalet.
Iskar gorge (Lyutibrod) Temnata dupka cave (Lakatnik) 453.97 km away
The Iskar is the longest purely Bulgarian river, the oldest river in the Balkans, and a right tributary of the Danube. The river is 368 km long, with approximately 150 km consisting of a gorge. The most spectacular section is the 70 km stretch between the village of Lyutibrod and the town of Novi Iskar.

Crivadia Gorges 248.55 km away
The Crivadia Gorge is located next to the village of Crivadia, which belongs to Banita. Access is difficult, and the hike is made through the streambed, with water up to the waist at its narrowest point.
Hili cove iron path Turda Gorges 163.44 km away
While the first time I climbed this via ferrata in the morning, now I climbed it in the light of the setting sun. The red-dressed rocks created a special atmosphere, and I could admire the sunset from the top of the climbing route. Although I prefer the sunrise more, because it lasts longer. :-)
Skaklya waterfall Vratsa 439.16 km away
The largest seasonal waterfall in Bulgaria plunges down from a height of 141 meters. It is located in the Vratsa Mountain National Park, just one and a half kilometers away from the city of Vratsa. The waterfall can be accessed via a well-marked trail and is most stunning after snowmelt or rainfall. Climbing to the top of the waterfall offers a breathtaking view of the city.
Black Rocks iron path Bihor Mountains 243.32 km away
Black Rocks is located in the Bihor Mountains, near the Vartop Saddle, to the west of it. It is interesting that the locals (if I understood correctly) do not know this name, but use the name Piatra Buna (meaning Good Stone) for this spectacular rock.
Bovska Skaklya waterfall Iskar gorge 461.21 km away
The Bovska Skaklya waterfall is located near the town of Svoge in Bulgaria. The waterfall formed on the Zaselska River has several reported heights online (120 m, 85 m). It is a seasonal waterfall, most beautiful in spring, and it dries up in summer.
Hias Klettersteig Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 915.61 km away
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.
5fingers, WeltNATURerbeblick, Welterbespirale, Dachstein-Hai Dachstein-Krippenstein 917.46 km away
The second station of the cable car departing from Obertraun is the Krippenstein peak (2100 m). Here you can find the famous 5fingers lookout, which offers a unique view of Hallstatt and Obertraun below, as well as the Hallstättersee lake.

In the Padurea Craiului Mountains, near Rosia, in the Farcu bauxite mine, in 1987, the miners accidentally discovered a cave. It was filled with crystal-shaped limestone formations.
Via ferrata Tatabánya 564.53 km away
I climbed Kata! Who is Kata? Kata is a very talented, beautiful, but mainly extreme lady from Tatabánya. More specifically, she is Hungary's most difficult via ferrata climbing route. :-)
Sheepdogs Govora sheepfold Retezat mountains 266.79 km away
On the second day of my weekend Retezat hike, I visited a sheepfold on the Lancita Ridge. To my great disappointment, they didn't make cheese or curd here. The owners sell the more special types of sheep and rams in the autumn.
