I went out to admire the ice stalagmites (standing icicles) in the Varghis Gorge. Anyone arriving here at the end of winter can observe meter-high ice stalagmites in the entrance area of Meresti Cave (now known as Orban Balazs Cave).

In the Bodoc Mountains, west-southwest from the Henter peak, we find a rock formation shaped like a mushroom by erosion, called Preacher's Rock. This 2-meter high rock probably got its name from the pagan Hungarian priests, who preached here in the past.

Sky Walk, Suspension Bridge, Stairway to Nothingness Dachstein 915.99 km away
The Dachstein cable car took me up to a height of 2700 meters, to the highest mountain in Styria, the Dachstein. A fabulous natural environment unfolded before me, with panoramic views of the Austrian peaks. It is said that Slovenia and the Czech Republic can also be seen from here.
Hias Klettersteig Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 908.81 km away
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.
Rosina Klettersteig Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 908.86 km away
The Rosina Klettersteig is the most difficult via ferrata in the Silberkar gorge, has a D difficulty rating, and it is a vertical masterpiece. After a short suspension bridge above the stream, it leads up the rock wall next to the gorge waterfall, all the way vertically.

Stan Valley Canyon in winter 99.29 km away
The Stan Valley is a picturesque canyon, even in winter. In fact, when the stream is frozen and covered with a layer of snow, exploring the canyon becomes much quicker and easier. During this time, we can also access areas that were unreachable in the summer, due to high water levels.

The Bear's Jump (in Romanian, Saritoarea Ursului) is a fantasy-named via ferrata that opened in May 2018 near Baia de Fier, alongside the Middle Spiral (in Romanian, Spirala Medie). Both routes begin from the G zone of the rock face that conceals the Muierilor Cave.
Via ferrata du Diable France 1456.32 km away
The Devil's Iron Path (Via ferrata du Diable) is a multi-part via ferrata, located above a spectacular waterfall (Cascade du Nant), in a gorge, below the Victor-Emmanuel fort. For me, this climbing route presented the greatest challenge so far.

The largest seasonal waterfall in Bulgaria plunges down from a height of 141 meters. It is located in the Vratsa Mountain National Park, just one and a half kilometers away from the city of Vratsa. The waterfall can be accessed via a well-marked trail and is most stunning after snowmelt or rainfall. Climbing to the top of the waterfall offers a breathtaking view of the city.
