The natural reservation site Dragon's Garden (Gradina Zmeilor, Sárkányok kertje) from Galgaul Almasului is located in Salaj County, in the Western Carpathians. This natural playground is made up of interesting and unusual sandstone formations, an ensemble of 10-12 m high towers with strange figures cut in sandstone by the wind and water erosion.

The crumbling of the Miocene conglomerates and gritstone generated a specific landscape. Young oak-trees and strange shaped formations of sandstone, with insertions of gravel and stone made this ensemble of high formations.

From the village of Galgau Almasului turn left across from house no. 126, and drive a short distance to a wooden cabin, where you can park your car, get out and wander amongst the rocks.

In Vadu Crisului, in the Padurea Craiului Mountains, on the right bank of the Crisul Repede, you can find the newest, in chronological order the fifth Transylvanian, new type of via ferrata route. The Vadu Crisului Cave, with a total length of over 1000 meters, is located in the picturesque gorge of Crisul Repede creek. It consists of a gently meandering, long passage that features an active, stream level next to an upper, fossil level in its first section.
Hili cove iron path - Turda Gorges 75.96 km away
While the first time I climbed this via ferrata in the morning, now I climbed it in the light of the setting sun. The red-dressed rocks created a special atmosphere, and I could admire the sunset from the top of the climbing route. Although I prefer the sunrise more, because it lasts longer. :-)

In the Padurea Craiului Mountains, near Rosia, in the Farcu bauxite mine, in 1987, the miners accidentally discovered a cave. It was filled with crystal-shaped limestone formations.

Les Gorges de la Méouge France 1394.06 km away
Following today's climb, I experienced the soothing pleasure of immersing myself in the turquoise waters of the Méouge creek, in the pond beneath a waterfall. If you find yourself in Sisteron or Grenoble, do not miss the opportunity to explore the magnificent Méouge valley near Ribiers. And do not leave your swimwear behind.

Wild Ferenc memorial path Suhardul Mic 193.87 km away
In recent days, this news has been everywhere: the via ferrata route built on the southwest wall of Suhardul Mic (Little Suhard) has finally been completed and inaugurated. The new route has been named after Ferenc Wild, in memory of the former mountain rescuer, sports writer, and one of the founders of the mountain rescue association in Gheorgheni.
With snowshoes in the Tihu creek valley Rastolita 137.19 km away
We met geotrekking treasure hunters from Gheorgheni, Miercurea Ciuc and Targu Mures in Rastolita. We entered the Calimani Mountains with an off-road vehicle, along the Rastolita and Tihu streams. As it turned out, the well-worn forest road can also be traveled by car for a good distance.

Because I lost the footage I made the first time (don't buy SD cards from Alibaba!), at the end of June I visited this great and exciting via ferrata again. It has a 59-meter long suspension bridge (one of the longest in the Alps), at 200 m height, and a 32-meter long, uncomfortably swinging Nepalese bridge.
