Slap Savica, found in the northwestern part of Slovenia, is a magnificent, 78 m high waterfall. It derives its water from a karst spring called Savica located just above the falls.

The majority of the water comes from the karst basin surrounding Black Lake, which sits approximately 500 meters higher than the waterfall. This ensures that the spring maintains a consistent and forceful flow. The water travels underground towards the spring, splitting into two sections.

The waterfall then continues as a stream with the same name, eventually merging into Lake Bohinj, serving as its primary water source. Lake Bohinj further contributes to the Sava Bohinjka, which ultimately combines with the Sava Dolinka to form the Sava River.

To visit the waterfall, you can access it from the Savica lodge, which is conveniently located in the western part of Lake Bohinj. It is a short 15-minute walk from the lodge to reach the waterfall, with an entrance fee required for entry.

Hias Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 127.49 km away
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.
Rosina Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 127.57 km away
The Rosina Klettersteig is the most difficult via ferrata in the Silberkar gorge, has a D difficulty rating, and it is a vertical masterpiece. After a short suspension bridge above the stream, it leads up the rock wall next to the gorge waterfall, all the way vertically.
Siega Klettersteig - Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 128.28 km away
The Siega Klettersteig, categorized as a C/D level of difficulty, is perhaps the least interesting of the three via ferratas in the Silberkarklamm gorge. This doesn't mean that it's not good, just that the other two are even better. :-)

In the Bodoc Mountains, west-southwest from the Henter peak, we find a rock formation shaped like a mushroom by erosion, called Preacher's Rock. This 2-meter high rock probably got its name from the pagan Hungarian priests, who preached here in the past.

They say about this place that only very few people know about it, but that's not true. In fact, most nature lovers have heard of it, seen pictures taken here, even if not everyone has been able to come here. Since it has been talked about everywhere, and it has been advertised, I have also been planning to come here for years.
