Hili cove iron path - Turda Gorges 15 km away
While the first time I climbed this via ferrata in the morning, now I climbed it in the light of the setting sun. The red-dressed rocks created a special atmosphere, and I could admire the sunset from the top of the climbing route. Although I prefer the sunrise more, because it lasts longer. :-)

Black Rocks iron path - Bihor Mountains 72.11 km away
Black Rocks is located in the Bihor Mountains, near the Vartop Saddle, to the west of it. It is interesting that the locals (if I understood correctly) do not know this name, but use the name Piatra Buna (meaning Good Stone) for this spectacular rock.

In the Padurea Craiului Mountains, near Rosia, in the Farcu bauxite mine, in 1987, the miners accidentally discovered a cave. It was filled with crystal-shaped limestone formations.

Located only ten kilometers from the town of Mariazell, you'll find the via ferrata park known as Klettersteigpark Spielmäuer (Play Wall). Here, we find three via ferratas: Olivers Mariazeller Steig (B/C), Felix Himmelleiter (D), and Tristans Kirchbogensteig (C). In front of the Gasthof Post (Post Inn), there is a large parking lot available for our use.

I climbed the via ferrata on the Echernwand rock wall at dusk. This route is located above one of Austria's most beautiful lakes, and above Hallstatt. The iron climbing route was quite challenging at times, with the most exciting section being the Roll-dachl, an exposed rock formation, shaped like a nose.

Perhaps the most interesting via ferrata among the routes in the Baia de Fier area is the Womens Spiral. After completing it, I can say that it is the second most thrilling via ferrata in Romania, following the Big Via Ferrata at Rasnov.

The Vadu Crisului Cave, with a total length of over 1000 meters, is located in the picturesque gorge of Crisul Repede creek. It consists of a gently meandering, long passage that features an active, stream level next to an upper, fossil level in its first section.
