Poenari citadel - Arges valley 3.19 km away
The Poenari citadel is located on the southern slope of the Fagaras Mountains, on the western side of the Transfagaras road, in the Arges Valley, about 4 km from the Vidraru Lake dam. Along a steep incline, a concrete staircase leads up to the castle, which is built atop a mountain. It is said that one must climb 1,480 steps, though we didn't count. :-)

The Stan Valley is located near Lake Vidraru, southwest of it, in the Fruntii Mountains. Those who have visited the Seven Ladders Waterfall will appreciate this canyon, outfitted with infrastructure for tourist accessibility.
Snow-covered valley of Balea and the Transfagarasan in winter - The ascent 34.03 km away
The Fagarasi Mountains can be easily approached from the north, mainly by using the Transfagarasan Road. This road is only accessible during the summer months (throughout its entire length), but from the Balea Waterfall station (Statia Balea Cascada) you can also reach the Balea Lake by cable car.
Spirala Medie iron path - Baia de Fier 68.68 km away
In May 2018, two new via ferrata routes were inaugurated in Baia de Fier. Both start from section G of the rock face hiding the Muierilor Cave, and their initial stages are shared. The Bear's Jump (in Romanian, Saritoarea Ursului) leads vertically upwards. The Middle Belt or Middle Spiral (in Romanian, Spirala Medie) connects the former to the Big Spiral via ferrata route.

Via ferrata Tatabánya 536.98 km away
I climbed Kata! Who is Kata? Kata is a very talented, beautiful, but mainly extreme lady from Tatabánya. More specifically, she is Hungary's most difficult via ferrata climbing route. :-)

The Trümmelbach Waterfalls are a series of ten cascades partially located inside the belly of the mountain, near Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Infrastructure has been established to enable tourist access to the waterfalls.
Sky Walk, Suspension Bridge, Stairway to Nothingness Dachstein 874.41 km away
The Dachstein cable car took me up to a height of 2700 meters, to the highest mountain in Styria, the Dachstein. A fabulous natural environment unfolded before me, with panoramic views of the Austrian peaks. It is said that Slovenia and the Czech Republic can also be seen from here.

The Meziad Cave is located near the village of Meziad, 22 km north of Beius, in the Padurea Craiului Mountains. It is one of our first tourist caves, its exploration is associated with the name of Gyula Czárán, cave researcher and writer.
Via ferrata Rio Sallagoni Italia 1064.02 km away
The surrounding iron climbing routes are located on rock walls exposed to a scorching sun. But the Rio Sallagoni via ferrata goes upwards in a pleasantly cool gorge, above the creek and waterfalls, and eventually reaches the Drena Castle.

Via ferrata de la Grande Fistoire France 1461.93 km away
Because I lost the footage I made the first time (don't buy SD cards from Alibaba!), at the end of June I visited this great and exciting via ferrata again. It has a 59-meter long suspension bridge (one of the longest in the Alps), at 200 m height, and a 32-meter long, uncomfortably swinging Nepalese bridge.
Small Via ferrata Rasnoavei Gorges 74.74 km away
In the past few days, it has snowed, so I climbed the two climbing routes in the Rasnoavei Gorge under winter conditions. While the lower part of the challenging Big via ferrata was dry, the upper section had patches of snow and icicles.
Wild Ferenc iron path Suhardul Mic 187.01 km away
While I climbed the new iron path mostly in the dark for the first time, this time I managed to explore it during the day. But I still missed the sunset by a few minutes.
Hias Klettersteig Silberkarklamm, Ramsau am Dachstein 866.98 km away
The Hias Klettersteig in the Silberkarklamm gorge is the first of the three via ferrata routes, and perhaps the easiest to complete. Two cable bridges and a few trickier sections make it interesting, but it is truly impressive due to the view of the narrow gorge.

The passage of time (time lapse), dusk at Nobody's Lake. Miercurea Ciuc and the Sumuleu mountain can be seen in the background.
Preacher's Rock Bodoc Mountains 125.5 km away
In the Bodoc Mountains, west-southwest from the Henter peak, we find a rock formation shaped like a mushroom by erosion, called Preacher's Rock. This 2-meter high rock probably got its name from the pagan Hungarian priests, who preached here in the past.
